The Amazons: Gig Review!

A review, as a rhyme...

T’was a Friday night in Southsea and not much was going on, which is a pretty normal night for the place that I was born. The Pyramids however, were putting on a show, so I said to my friend Eilise, why don’t we go. Yonaka opened the gig, a Brighton band with a strong female lead, they got the crowd warmed up, until they sounded like a stampede. The Amazons took the stage at around quarter past nine, where the quartet delivered quite a show, with songs like In My Mind. My favourite part of the night was the drummers solo, Joe Emmett is his name, check him out if you don’t know. As the gig reached its end, the group came back for an encore, where they performed their hit single, Junk Food Forev-or (clearly running out of rhymes). Overall the gig was one that I enjoyed, so if you see The Amazons playing at a festival this year, I urge you to not avoid.

Thank you!
