A review, as a rhyme...
I'm going to be reviewing The Wombats today, looking at their fourth UK album which is here to stay. 'Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life' is the name, and 11 catchy songs including 4 released singles is the game. The first track was chosen by Annie Mac at the beginning of the year, being featured as her Hottest Record, so I just had to hear. Of course I am talking about 'Cheetah Tongue', which is typical of The Wombats, vibrant and fun! Comparing this with 'Proudly Present...A Guide To Love, Loss & Desperation', you can see how the band have grown since 2007.
My must listen to track on the album, has to be 'Lethal Combination'. This song differs from a lot of the album content, but still has that 'wombatsesque' intent. Other favourites include 'Lemon to a Knife Fight' and 'Ice Cream', which have me constantly in a Summer daydream. I am very excited about this album, and on payday will be purchasing tickets for Southampton. If you haven't already heard it I think you should, as this album is very very very good (still not getting used to the rhymes).
